The Engle Kapur House is our first house featuring bamboo cladding. Built on an existing 19th century stone foundation, this contemporary house features bamboo rainscreen cladding and a zinc standing seam roof and gutters. Custom painted steel bases and caps adorn the solid red cedar posts at the front porch with rains chains. The kitchen features tall window overlooking the Hudson River and sustainable linoleum clad cabinets. Eight feet tall French doors access the Ipe deck from the open kitchen. The house is provided with geothermal heating and cooling.
