Located on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, this project will replace a dilapidated storage barn and a temporary office and storage and the restore the Historic Barn currently used for maintenance and storage. The renovated Historic Barn dating from the 1890’s will be transformed into a cultural center for lectures and classes for youth and adults with an emphasis on educating the public about our natural environment, native plantings and local history. While an historically accurate restoration of the exterior is envisioned, the historic barn will have a contemporary fully ADA compliant interior with state of the art audio visual systems. A geothermal energy plant with service all three structures.
